Saturday Afternoon Club:

New for 2017 - All Gauges - All Ages - Interested in Model Railways
Why not pay us a visit and see what we do! You will be received by a very warm welcome, our club
can cater for the absolute beginner, to the advanced amateur.  K.M.R.C rooms are the largest in
Yorkshire and equipped with a social area as large as some other club rooms, for you to meet and
chat with other members, watch videos of railways and transport subjects, a canteen for light
refreshments and soft drinks. With work areas so you can build anything from base boards to a fully
working locomotive. K.M.R.C has a large test track, at 4.5 meters (14ft) diameter and caters for all

K.M.R.C has a large library of railway books and magazines, for your use as reference and guidelines in
your model making. K.M.R.C clubrooms have a variety of layouts under construction ready for you to help 
as well as fully working layouts to operate.

You can be part of a group or just do your own thing. The members meet at the club on Tuesday evening
every week from 7:00 - 10:30pm. As well as on Saturdays along with other specialist groups who arrange
extra meetings. 

You can visit the club 3 times absolutely FREE, Excluding Main Exhibition and Open Days.

Junior Section:   All Gauges - All Ages - Interested in Model Railways - Why not pay us a visit

Junior Saturday Afternoon Club -
You can learn how to construct a baseboard, lay track including
soldering and wiring instruction. We can show you how to make scenic items like trees, buildings,
line-side equipment. You can obtain operating layout certificates .

KMRC Juniors meet  Saturday afternoons from 1.00pm  - 16.30pm at the clubrooms

***Juniors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, and as a result, the Club now inadvertently has a
"parents' social group" who chat, read, drink tea and use their laptops on Saturday afternoons. Handmade
quilts have made their appearance and one or two parents have even started modelling themselves...
